The #50PreciousWordsforKids Contest is Now Open!

Two months ago, like many (769!!!) other writers, I took part in Vivian Kirkfield’s #50PreciousWords contest with my mini story Showertime.

Now it’s my 7-year-old daughter’s turn! She took part in the children’s version, #50PreciousWordsforKids, for the first time last year, and absolutely loved it. It was such a boost for her story-writing skills and self-esteem to enter a story she’d written herself in a contest and receive recognition for it.

Any child writing in English anywhere in the world (or even just telling a story orally – an adult is allowed to write it down) can submit. There are no winners and losers – every child who takes part receives a certificate, which means that every child feels like a winner!

The deadline is 7th May. For more information, visit Vivian’s website.

Happy writing to all your little storytellers! 🙂

    • Thanks Vivian and thank you for running this fantastic contest! A rather belated happy Mother’s Day to you too (sorry, I’ve been ill for the last few days, so only just saw your comment!) Marina and I plan to read all of the stories very soon 🙂.
